  • Eleni Ashioti

    Eleni Ashioti became a member of the Small- and Medium-Sized Practices Advisory Group in January 2025. She was nominated by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

    Eleni is the Head of Technical and Professional Matters at ICPAC, where she oversees the institute’s strategic initiatives and policies on key topics such as financial reporting, audit and assurance, ethics, and sustainability. In this capacity, she actively collaborates with government authorities, advocating on behalf of the professional accountants in Cyprus.

    She also plays a pivotal role in shaping the institute’s engagement with international organizations and represents ICPAC at various national and international forums, including the Edinburgh Group. Eleni also serves as ICPAC’s representative in three technical policy groups at Accountancy Europe.

    Prior to her current position, Eleni gained invaluable experience as a Technical Manager at Accountancy Europe in Brussels. Earlier in her career, she worked as an external auditor specializing in financial services at EY Cyprus, and in a small and medium-sized practice, where she developed a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by SMPs.

    Eleni is a qualified and active member of both the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).

  • Mohanad Khaled

    Country

    Egypt

    Mohanad T. Khaled joined the Small- and Medium-Sized Practices Advisory Group in January 2025. He was nominated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

    Mohanad is the Managing Partner of BDO in Egypt, and has extensive experience in accounting, auditing, tax advisory, financial advisory, and business process outsourcing services. Mohanad had joined BDO Khaled & Co. in March 1997. Prior to BDO, he worked for General Motors and Shell. He served as a Voluntary Representative for ACCA in Egypt for more than 10 years. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty in the Accounting Department of the American University in Cairo.

    Mr. Khaled is a board member of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors (ESAA). He is a board member of a number of prominent business associations and serves as Chairman of Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce (EBCC). He has voluntarily contributed to the reforms of various legislative and professional standards.

    Mohanad is a Fellow of the ACCA, Fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors (ESAA), and Fellow of the Egyptian Society for Taxation (EST). He received a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering degree and a Masters degree of Business Administration (MBA) from the American University in Cairo.

  • Catherine Hardinge

    Catherine joined the Small- and Medium-sized Practices Advisory Group in January 2025. She was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).

    Catherine is a Partner at Price Bailey LLP, a medium-sized accounting practice based in the United Kingdom. She has more than 30 years of experience in the accounting and audit profession. She is the firm's compliance partner, which entails supporting teams with auditing and accounting matters as well as training. She caries out a number of engagement quality reviews.

    Catherine is a fellow member of ICAEW and is a member of the ICAEW Technical and Practical Auditing Committee. She has delivered webinars and podcasts on behalf of ICAEW.

    She holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting and the probate qualification.

  • ZHAO Yao

    Country

    China

    Yan Zhao became a member of the IFAC SMP Advisory Group (SMPAG) in January 2023. She was nominated by the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA).

    Mrs. Zhao is the Deputy Director of Continuing Professional Department at CICPA, and formerly worked in CICPA’s Quality Assurance Department and Registration Department at CICPA. She has been in an 1-year internship program at KPMG Melbourne office.

    Mrs. Zhao earned her Master of Accounting degree from the Central University of Finance and Economics in China.

  • Takuma Kinjo

    Country

    Japan

    Takuma Kinjo became a member of the IFAC SMP Advisory Group (SMPAG) in January 2023. He was nominated by the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA).

    As a chair of JICPA’s SMP IT Support Task Force, Mr. Kinjo has contributed to building a sharing system of IT infrastructure among SMPs that enables IT personnel to exchange ideas and best practices. He has worked with IT tools for data analysis and led workshops on how to use these tools in practice.

    Mr. Kinjo received his CPA qualification in 2007 while working as a senior in financial services with Shinnihon Ernst & Young in Japan. He holds a Bachelor of Molecular Biology degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

  • Therese Andersson

    Sweden

    Therese Andersson was appointed to the IFAC SMP Committee in January 2024. She was nominated by NRF (Nordic Federation of public accountants). 

    Therese is currently Head of Compliance at Accru Partners. Formerly she served as the head of department and director Membership at FAR - the Swedish institute for the accountancy profession. She is authorized public accountant with more than 20 years of experience from audit and advisory services to a wide range of SMEs in various industries. Prior FAR she was CEO and HR-director for an owner-owned company for 2,5 years after 15 years at KPMG Sweden as senior manager. 

    Therese earned her bachelor's degree in organization theory and accounting from Örebro University, Sweden and since 2010 qualified as an authorized public accountant, by the Swedish Inspectorate of Auditors.

  • Giorgia Butturi

    Dr. Giorgia Butturi became member in January 2024 nominated by the Italian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CNDCEC). 

    Dr. Butturi is Certified Public Accountant and registered auditor, auditor of several limited companies, including banks and regulated financial services companies. She is member of NedCommunity (Independent Board Members' Association) and Marisa Bellisario Foundation (Women Entrepreneurial's and Practitioners' Union). 

    Dr. Butturi is past member of the SMEs/SMPs Committee of Accountancy Europe (once called FEE - Fédération des Experts Comptables Européen) in Bruxelles, Belgium, on behalf of CNDCEC, member of the SMEs/SMPs Committee of EFAA (European Foundation of Accountants and Auditors), in Bruxelles, Belgium, on behalf of CNDCEC and member of the Audit Affairs Committee of Unione Nazionale Giovani Dottori Commercialisti (Italian Young Accountants' Union), in Rome. 

    Dr. Butturi is past President of the Board of Directors of a Bank Foundation (a foundation regulated by law which originally held shares in Banks, now independent).

  • YIP Ngai Shing, Jimmy

    Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region of China

    Jimmy joined Mazars Hong Kong in 2000 and has since been actively involved in auditing companies of various sizes. He was nominated by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

    He held the positions of Head of Quality & Assurance from 2014 to 2018 and Head of Audit from 2018 to 2020 at Mazars Hong Kong. Currently, Jimmy serves as the Managing Director at Mazars Hong Kong. 

    Furthermore, Jimmy has been a Council Member of Hong Kong Association of Registered Public Interest Entity Auditors Limited since its establishment in 2021. He also holds the role of Deputy Chairman of the Small and Medium Practitioners Committee at the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
