  • Anas Abouelmikias

    Country

    Morocco

    Anas Abouelmikias joined the IFAC PAO Development & Advisory Group in January 2024, nominated by Ordre des Experts Comptables du Royaume du Maroc (OECM).

    Mr. Abouelmikias is the President & Founder of the audit firm FINACS, which audits a wide range of companies of different sizes and sectors. He began his career working for Big Four audit firms. He is presently a member of the International Relations Committee of OECM. He is also a former Senior Financial Management Specialist at the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. He is currently a consultant for international donors, focusing on public financial management and fiduciary matters in the Middle East and Africa, and an independent reviewing for the INTOSAI Development Initiative

    Mr. Abouelmikias holds a master's degree in finance from ISCAE Casablanca and a French CPA degree.

  • Farrukh Rehman

    Country

    Pakistan

    Farrukh Rehman joined the IFAC Professional Accountancy Organization Development & Advisory Group in January 2024. Previously he had served as Technical Advisor on the advisory group. He was nominated to the advisory group by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).

    Mr. Rehman is the President of ICAP and an elected member of the council of ICAP. He also served as its Vice President for the term 2017-18. He is currently the Chairman of the Accounting Standards Board and Sustainability working group. He previously led various ICAP committees, including the auditing, examination, education, financial sector and chartered accountants women committee.

    Mr. Rehman is a member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) Board and member of SAFA's Accounting Standards Committee. He also represents ICAP at the BRI National Accounting Standards Cooperation Forum.

    Mr. Rehman has a bachelor’s of commerce degree from Karachi University in 1991 and became Chartered Accountant in 1996. He became partner in A.F.Ferguson & Co (a member firm of PwC Network of Firms) in 2004 and has extensive experience in audit and assurance services.

  • Panagiotis Alamanos

    Panagiotis Alamanos became a member of the IFAC PAO Development & Advisory Group in January 2024. He was nominated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is the Managing Partner of Crowe Greece.

    He earned a BSc from the London School of Economics and a MSCc from the Bayes Business School. He is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece

  • Berry Wammes

    Country

    Netherlands

    Berry Wammes became a member of the IFAC PAO Development & Advisory Group in January 2024. He was nominated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Netherlands (Royal NBA). He currently serves as program director after fourteen years in leadership positions with the NBA, including serving as CEO from 2020 to September 2023.

    Mr. Wammes was trained as a marketing and communications professional and worked for small and large commercial organizations in the Netherlands. From 1997 to 2003 he was Chief Marketing Officer of KPMG Netherlands and in that capacity from 1998 to 2001 he was also responsible for the EMA area. Mr. Wammes held various leadership positions in the NBA, being responsible for professional standards, policy development and international affairs since 2009.

    Since 2014, Berry Wammes has been intensively involved in audit reform in the Netherlands after a period of persistent accounting issues and social criticism. He was responsible for an extensive change program in the areas of fraud, business continuity, transparency, and culture and behavior.

    From 2011 to 2023, Berry Wammes was a board member of the Limperg Institute, a research and post-academic education institute, and from 2013 to 2023 he was deputy secretary of the Foundation of the Dutch Accounting Standards Board.

  • Mamour Fall

    Country

    Senegal

    Mamour Fall joined the IFAC PAO Development & Advisory Group in July 2023, nominated by Fédération Internationale des Experts Comptables et Commissaires aux comptes Francophones (FIDEF). He is President & founder of the audit firm GARECGO | Fall & Gueye, auditors of a wide variety of companies of difference sizes and sectors.

    Mr. Fall was honorary President of FIDEF from 2014 to 2016 as well as the honorary President of Ordre National des Experts Comptables du Sénégal from 2009 to 2016. He is also a former board member of the Pan African Federation of Accountants (2014-2018) and hosted the PAFA's launch in Dakar in May 2011. 

    Mr. Fall is a Founding Member and Permanent Secretary of the Senegal Institute of Directors (IOD), a partner of IFA France, and a member of African Corporate Governance Network (ACGN). He also actively supported adoption of the IAASB's International Standards on Auditing as the Senegal Code of corporate governance by Government in 2012.

    Mr. Fall is a member of the PAFA's Oversight Committee for the PAFA PAO Development Programme, a project funded by the Global Fund and the World Bank.

  • Mkombozi Karake

    Country

    Rwanda

    Mkombozi Bosco Karake joined the IFAC's PAO Development and Advisory Group in January 2023, nominated by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (iCPAR).

    Mr. Karake is currently the Chairman and Partner of KMD Partners Ltd and Chief Executive Officer of the Global Institute of Governance and Sustainability. He was previously a financial management specialist with the World Bank, Chief Internal Auditor at the Development Bank of Rwanda, an associate with KMPG East Africa International Advisory services and the Chief Internal Auditor at Horizon Group Ltd Rwanda. He has over 18 years post qualification experience in audit, financial management, business advisory and lecturing professional accountancy courses and university financial management modules. He is also a regular contributor to local and international seminars and conferences in areas of his expertise.

    Mr. Karake is a member of ICPAR (CPA-R); a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

    Mr. Karake is an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors-Rwanda having served as President 2019-2020. He is also an active iCPAR member, having served as the chairman of its Disciplinary Commission 2013-2015. He also served as the third president and chairman of the iCPAR Governing Council 2015-2017, re-elected 2017-2019.
